So Pa finally showed up for Summer Camp. We were ready jump back into the Summer Camp fun. Evan and Owen were moving from Columbus to a small town outside of Cleveland. There were a lot of things to see and people to meet in that part of the state, so we decided to make…

Kaiventures
These stories are my adventures through the world told from a kids perspective. I welcome you to travel along with me on my adventures. The stories told here mostly accurate, somewhat exaggerated, and occasionally made up.
My Family
My Ma is a geographer. Specifically, a human geographer with an emphasis on tourism. She has written a few textbooks on the geography of tourism.
My Pa is in the restaurant business. He loves to cook and is pretty adventurous in the kitchen. He even went to culinary school in Italy.
My Perspective
From the day I was born, I was destined to be a world traveler. I had my passport at four months and my first stamp at seven months. Ma operates under a geographers rule (I really think it’s her own rule, but I ain’t complaining), visit a new country every year. To date, we have been successful!
I hope you enjoy my Kaiventures.
Ohio Summer Camp – Before Pa
So, Ma and I flew to Ohio. I was on my best behavior on the plane because I knew she was ridin’ solo for this trip. Ohio was where Ma grew up. We were going to stay with MeeMaw and PeePaw out on their 5-acre farm. It all sounded so exciting. We were greeted by…
Blueberry Pickin’ – 2015
It was a hot summer day (well anytime after Apil in Houston is considered summer) and Ma was very excited for the morning’s event. She was running around the house trying to find the sunscreen and mosquito spray (necessary 11 ½ months out of the year). We all ate breakfast quick that morning, and she…
St. Lucia – The Adventure
Pa had to go. He just had to go. So the first stop on our planned adventures was Diamond Botanical Garden. I think this is going to turn into a thing. Always having to visit the gardens when we travel. At least they are pretty so I won’t object too often. The botanical garden is…
St. Lucia – Getting Acquainted
Alarm clocks and bells went off in my house in the morning. It was Saturday, a day meant for sleeping in, which can only mean that it was a travel day. Pa loaded the car, Ma got me ready, and off to the airport we went. Flight went pretty smooth, but there was something else…
Bayou Bend Gardens
Ma and Pa love being outside. They tell me that Houston has some great parks. Ah, I can take it or leave it right now. Just make sure it is not too hot. This stroller enjoys keeping the warmth in. What were my parents thinking? We live in freaking Houston. Sorry……I got a bit distracted….
The 1st Vacay – Gulf Shores
What a trip. Beach. Gardens. Family. Good times!! After my first plane ride, I got to go to the beach. It was chilly but awesome. The waves crashing against the sand sounded like my bedroom at night. Family Time We met my Great Aunt Nancy and headed off to lunch. The place was right on…
My First Plane Ride
So I was woken up early on a Saturday morning. I did not quite understand. Saturday’s are meant for me to wake my parents up early, not the other way around. Even though I was woken up early, I was ready to enjoy my Saturday. Maybe do a little bouncing in my musical bouncing seat…
